2022 was a landmark year in the career of Oleksandr Skrypka – a gastro expert, chef, brand chef and restaurateur, who received the honorary award of the Ukrainian Business Award as “Entrepreneur of the Year and Chef of 2022”.

His professional path is an example of constant development, bold decisions and dedication to culinary art. Over the years, Oleksandr has managed to prove himself in different countries, combining classic culinary traditions with modern gastronomic trends. He gained experience in prestigious educational institutions – Le Cordon Bleu in France and the ICIF culinary school in Italy, and interned in Michelin-starred restaurants.

By 2022, he already had significant experience as a brand chef and head chef in famous restaurants in Ukraine and abroad. His own establishment Fish in a Dough in Kharkiv became a platform for him to experiment and implement new gastronomic ideas.

Receiving the UBA award is not only a recognition of culinary skills, but also confirmation of Oleksandr’s entrepreneurial talent. His ability to combine creativity with a business approach, form a team and implement bold gastronomic projects has become an example for the local restaurant industry.

“For me, cuisine is more than food. It is culture, self-expression, and a way to make people happier. Each dish is a story that we create for our guests,” says Oleksandr Skrypka.

His victory in the Ukrainian Business Award in 2022 demonstrates that even in challenging times, Ukrainian entrepreneurs and chefs are able to shape new standards, develop the industry, and inspire the next generation of restaurateurs.
