The field of ophthalmology in the capital continues to develop dynamically, combining modern technologies, high diagnostic accuracy and an individual approach to each patient. The Ukrainian medical market today is formed by clinics that invest in new equipment, qualified specialists and a high level of service. Ukrainian Business Award presented a rating of the best ophthalmological clinics in Kyiv in 2025, based on an analysis of more than ten key criteria: from the number of services and staff to customer orientation, brand recognition and financial dynamics.

The breadth of the range of services determines the level of technological sophistication of the clinic and its readiness for comprehensive treatment. The leader of the rating was Novy Zir, which offers 237 types of procedures, from laser vision correction to eye microsurgery. Almost on a par with it is Ochi Clinic with 234 services, including diagnostics, laser operations and treatment of complex pathologies. Ocular and Ukrainian Vision Center demonstrate average indicators, providing more than 100 types of medical procedures. At the bottom of the list are Excimer, Center Oka, and Visiobud, which have over 80 specialties, which allows them to cover the basic needs of patients.

Modern clinics are increasingly customer-oriented, offering bonuses and promotions. The undisputed leader is Ukrainian Vision Center — 14 active loyalty programs, including seasonal discounts, cumulative bonuses, and special offers for children and veterans. The Center Oka offers 11 programs, including packages for regular customers. Novy Zir and Excimer have 8 each, maintaining a competitive level of service. Slightly lower are Ochi Clinic (6) and AYLAZ (5), and the remaining clinics are only beginning to implement loyalty systems.

Qualified staff is the basis of the success of any clinic. AYLAZ became the leader with a team of 26 specialists specializing in ophthalmic surgery, diagnostics, and vision therapy. Novy Zir has 22 doctors, including recognized surgeons with international experience. Ochi Clinic and Visiobud (16–18 specialists each) also demonstrate high personnel potential. There are slightly fewer staff at Excimer and the Center Oka (13–16 doctors), while Ukrainian Vision Center, Ocular, and Zorkoclinic work in compact teams, focusing on a personalized approach.

An extensive network allows clinics to be closer to patients. The largest number of representative offices is Novyi Zir — three branches in Kyiv, which provide convenience for residents of different districts. Center Oka has two locations, and the remaining clinics — one each. Despite the smaller number of branches, Visiobud, Excimer, Ochi Clinic and others focus on the quality of services and modern equipment, compensating for the scale with high standards of service.

Five clinics received the maximum score of 10 points — Novyi Zir, Ukrainian Vision Center, Visiobud, Excimer and Ochi Clinic. They provide not only high-quality treatment, but also a comfortable stay for patients — from online registration to support after procedures. Zorkoclinic, AYLAZ, Ocular and Center Oka have 9 points, which confirms a stable level of service and a positive experience for patients.

The popularity of the brand indicates public trust. The most recognizable are Center Oka, Ochi Clinic, and Novy Zir, which actively promote their services in the media and digital channels. Among the mid-level leaders are Ocular and Ukrainian Vision Center. Visiobud and Excimer remain well-known among a narrow professional audience, while AYLAZ and Zorkoclinic continue to increase their recognition through social networks and patient recommendations.

Experience is stability and trust. The oldest clinic is Excimer, which has been operating for over 26 years. Novy Zir has a 21-year history of success, while Visiobud has 14. Center Oka has been operating for 10 years, and new players — Ocular, Zorkoclinic, AYLAZ, and Ochi Clinic — have been operating on the market for 4 to 6 years. The youngest but promising institution is Ukrainian Vision Center, which has already become one of the leaders of the rating in two years of operation.

The level of customer satisfaction demonstrates how well a clinic meets patients’ expectations. The absolute leader was Ukrainian Vision Center — 100% positive reviews. High results were shown by Ochi Clinic (99%), Ocular (98%), and AYLAZ (98%). Excimer and Tsentr Oka have 97% each, Visiobud and Novy Zir — 96%. Zorkoclinic received 98%, which indicates high-quality work even on a small scale.

Internet activity is an important indicator of digital presence. The leader is Visiobud with over 48 thousand visitors per month. Excimer is in second place (37,741), and Ochi Clinic is in third place (31,832). Novyy Zir received 29,322 visits, and AYLAZ – 23,272. Center Oka has 22,110 users, while Ukrainian Vision Center, Ocular, and Zorkoclinic demonstrate modest but stable performance, gradually developing digital channels.

Modern clinics are actively working on social networks, building audience trust. Excimer and Tsentr Oka received the highest score — 5 points each for systematic page management, educational content, and live broadcasts with doctors. Novy Zir and Ukrainian Vision Center have 4 points each, demonstrating powerful visual communication. Visiobud, AYLAZ, Ochi Clinic, and Ocular (3 points each) maintain stable activity. Zorkoclinic has the lowest score — 2, but continues to expand its presence on social networks.

Financial stability and growth rate indicate the viability of the business. Ukrainian Vision Center demonstrates the fastest growth — a growth rate of 1.79, which is almost twice the average market level. Ochi Clinic (0.95) and Tsentr Oka (0.46) also showed a positive trend. Excimer and Novy Zir maintain stability, while Visiobud, Ocular, Zorkoclinic and AYLAZ continue to increase the pace of development, gradually strengthening their positions.

According to the results of the expert analysis of the Ukrainian Business Award, the highest average score of 5 points was received by Ukrainian Vision Center — for innovation, customer orientation and financial growth. Ochi Clinic took second place with a score of 4.8, confirming the high level of service. Excimer and Novy Zir received 4.7 each, and Visiobud and Tsentr Oka — 4.5. AYLAZ and Ocular scored 4 points each, and Zorkoclinic finished the top ten with 3 points, maintaining the position of a young but promising center.

The undisputed leader was Ukrainian Vision Center, which has proven its effectiveness and modern approach in a short time. Ochi Clinic, Excimer and Novy Zir maintain stable positions, confirming their status as long-term flagships of the industry. Visiobud, Center Oka and AYLAZ combine professionalism with humanity, and young clinics such as Ocular and Zorkoclinic bring new energy and creativity to the industry. Kyiv continues to strengthen its status as the capital of high-quality ophthalmology, where modern technologies are combined with care for the vision of each patient.
