Alina Kostyuk – Entrepreneur of the Year 2025 according to the Ukrainian Business Award!

In 2025, the prestigious title of “Entrepreneur of the Year” according to the Ukrainian Business Award was awarded to Alina Kostyuk, CEO of the Agroind agricultural holding. This victory is not only a personal achievement, but also recognition of the effectiveness of Ukrainian agricultural management in extremely difficult conditions of war and economic turbulence.
Alina Kostyuk’s professional history began as an HR manager. A deep understanding of human capital later became one of the key advantages of her management style. Today, under her leadership, the agricultural holding unites hundreds of specialists: more than 500 employees in the seasonal period, about 300 in the winter. Her leadership is based on transparent communication, a KPI system and personal involvement in all processes — from technological to financial.
After the start of a full-scale war in 2022, the company went through a difficult period: some of its staff were lost, the cultivated area decreased, and the year ended with a loss. However, in 2023, process automation, digital transformation, and a gradual restoration of profitability began. In 2024, thanks to government grants and the introduction of new production areas, profits increased by 35%.
Key innovations include the launch of a pellet line, the installation of solar panels, the introduction of drip irrigation, and the use of the Cropio system for remote monitoring of fields. These solutions allowed not only to save resources, but also to significantly increase yields.
Agroind invests about $10,000 in social initiatives every month. From helping military units and supporting local schools to caring for children evacuated from boarding schools, the company’s activities cover a wide range of charitable activities. Particular attention is paid to the development of sports: in June 2024, a new stadium was opened for the Sporting football club, which has already won the regional cup.
In response to the challenges of wartime, Alina Kostyuk reformatted logistics chains, set up feed production at her own feed mill, introduced backup power systems, and developed evacuation plans for staff. Her approach to risk management is not just about protection, but also about resilience, innovation, and proactive adaptation.
Despite the fact that Agroind still operates mainly in the B2B segment, the company is starting to enter the public space, developing an online presence and creating its own brands. This is a logical step after many years of improving internal processes, scaling production and receiving numerous professional awards.
Alina Kostyuk is the holder of the TOP CEO 2023 title, and her agroholding has repeatedly received awards, including the title of “Industry Leader” at the International Congress “Profitable Pig Farming”. The title of “Entrepreneur of the Year 2025” according to the Ukrainian Business Award has become a landmark – a symbol that in wartime conditions, Ukrainian business is able not only to survive, but also to shape the future of the economy.
Ukrainian Business Award is proud to recognize leaders who change the country with their actions. Alina Kostyuk’s story is an example of courage, professionalism and faith in the power of Ukrainian entrepreneurship.
