The jury of the Ukrainian Business Award consists only of those who truly change the rules of the game in their field. This year, we were joined by a unique specialist whose story inspires, motivates and amazes us – Anna Shabanova, a doctor, cosmetologist, trainer, entrepreneur and founder of the dr.AShabanova aesthetic cosmetology studio in Kharkiv.

Anna combines a rare combination: a high level of medical education, a deep understanding of aesthetic medicine, humanity and love for her work. She is convinced that cosmetology is not just a procedure, but a way to help a person feel confident, harmonious, beautiful. And this is not a slogan – it is her philosophy, which she implements every day in practice, education and entrepreneurship.

Her professional path began with medical education in Ukraine, after which Anna received highly specialized training in the field of aesthetic medicine and cosmetology. She has worked hard for many years to combine modern techniques with an individual approach to each client. This approach has allowed her to create her own author’s techniques and protocols, which she implements in practice and trains other specialists.

Over the years, she has gained the trust of hundreds of clients, including many famous personalities. She became a certified trainer of the Academy of Advanced Aesthetics, where she trained other cosmetologists, spoke at industry conferences, was an ambassador for the Rejuran brand in Ukraine, and was also a member of Ukrainian and American professional associations.

In 2024, Anna Shabanova won the title of “Cosmetologist of the Year”, and her studio was recognized as “Brand of the Year”. She also became the laureate of the international award “Saint Sophia” – for a significant contribution to the socio-economic development of Ukraine. This was not just recognition, but a real point of support in difficult times.

The turning point in Anna’s life was the war. Like many Ukrainians, she lost the opportunity to work in the usual format. But she did not give up. She switched to online consultations, distance learning and transformed her business in accordance with the new reality. This period taught her endurance, flexibility and even greater depth in her approach to people.

Later, Anna moved to the USA, where she completed professional training according to local standards, received a cosmetologist license, opened her own business and continued her professional activities. Today, she successfully works both in Ukraine and in the USA: she participates in international exhibitions, creates educational materials, shares her experience with colleagues and develops original techniques that are available to specialists around the world.

One of her main projects today is the creation of an international training platform for aesthetic medicine specialists. Her goal is to unite the best global practices in a single system of knowledge, accessible regardless of the country where the specialist works.

Anna believes that there are no boundaries in cosmetology – there are only new horizons. And it is with such people that we want to open new pages of Ukrainian business.
